You can create social feed posts that contain text, images and video files up to 2 GB. You can also earn from your content by making your posts buyable, which creates an ERC-20 token that others can buy and trade. (This feature is enabled by default when you create a new post.)
Create a non-coined post
From the social feed tab, select the pencil icon to open the compose tray.
Select Anyone can buy this post and change the setting to This post cannot be bought.
Create a post consisting of text and/or an image or video.
You can select up to two images or videos.
Select Post to publish the post.
Your post will appear in your profile and the social feed.
Create a coined post
The ‘coin’ feature lets you earn from your post by creating an ERC-20 token that others can buy and trade.
From the social feed tab, select the pencil icon.
Create a post consisting of text and/or an image or video.
Coined posts only support one image or video file. If you select more than one, the setting will automatically change to This post cannot be bought.
Tap the pencil icon in the lower-right corner to open the ticker field.
The ticker will be auto-populated with the text you've entered on the post.
Edit the ticker title (a short, non-unique name) and add a caption (if desired). Then select Confirm.
Ticker titles and captions create the token’s metadata.
Select Post to publish the post.
Approve the transaction if prompted (legacy users only).
After posting, your token’s market cap (total value based on price and supply) will be displayed. You can view your post tokens in your wallet, along with market data and trading activity.
Note: Coinbase currently absorbs coin creation fees. However, we may review and adjust fee coverage for high-volume coin creation.
Earnings
At the time of creating a buyable post, you receive 1% of your token's total supply.
For every buy or sell transaction of your coin, you receive a trading fee.
Earnings are deposited directly into your wallet.
Notes
Low liquidity early on may cause price swings. Prices are likely to stabilise as activity increases.
Selling your own coins may have a negative effect on their long-term value.
