Troubleshooting deposits and withdrawals

Requirements for successful deposits and withdrawals

Be aware that some banks may delay or cancel transactions involving digital currency.

Unable to locate a deposit

If charged for a cancelled order, funds will be returned within five to seven business days. You can download your transaction history to review against your bank account.

If your deposit is not in your cash balance, it could be due to the following reasons:

  • Your payment method details were not added to your Payment Methods.

  • Your transfer was sent via an intermediary bank.

  • Your deposit was sent from an unsupported country.

If your bank hasn't been approved for withdrawals, after a successful deposit, it could be due to the following reasons:

  • The account number on your deposit does not match the account number added on your account.

  • The deposit is missing an account number/IBAN.

European customers: Confirm the SEPA information for your bank shows the correct IBAN and BIC for the account you are sending funds from here. If it is not, restart the process to Add a payment method.

Unable to locate a withdrawal

If you’re unable to locate a cashout (withdrawal) from Coinbase in your bank account, confirm you’re checking the following when reviewing your transfer history:

  • Where the transfer was sent (your cash balance or linked payment method)

  • The full date range the transfer could complete in (date of cashout to seven business days after)

  • Your bank has not put a hold on this transfer

If your withdrawal or reversed deposit has not reached your bank account after 10 business days, please contact us. Alternatively, you can reply to your existing case.

Prepare an account statement showing transfers from the date the missing transaction was initiated to today for faster support. We'll provide a secure link for sharing.
