Edit team member roles on Coinbase Prime

Who can use this feature?

You must have one of the following roles to edit role permissions on Coinbase Prime: Team Manager or Administrator.

You can change roles and access levels of existing team members on your Coinbase Prime account. It’s important to understand the roles and permissions available prior to editing a team member’s role.

  1. Sign in to Coinbase Prime.

  2. On the left side of the page, click Settings

  3. Click Team Members.

  4. Next to the teammate you would like to edit, select the (...) Ellipses icon.

  5. Select Edit Access.

    • Note: You can’t edit your own role.

  6. Select desired Access Level, Roles & Permissions

    • Check the box for Video Approver, if you’d like to allow the team member to confirm higher sensitivity actions through recorded video calls.

    • Note: Video Approver is not available for Auditors or Team Managers.

  7. Click Initiate Changes.

  8. Confirm with YubiKey.

This change will require either Entity or Portfolio policy approvals.

In some situations, the Prime Operations team will need to validate and process the change following policy approval. If further identity verification is needed, it may take up to three business days to process the change. This includes collecting the team member’s identification (valid passport or driver’s license) and background check. You can track the status under Pending Approvals in the Activity tab.
