Immutable

An immutable record is one that is permanent and irreversible.

On a blockchain, the record of all transactions within a block are tied to the previous block. This link makes it impossible to manipulate the data within a block without impacting the historical record of all blocks that came before it, which is why the blockchain is immutable.
