Add cash or cash out

Add cash to your Coinbase account balance to immediately purchase cryptocurrency. You can also cash out USD from your Coinbase account to your bank account.

Before you add cash

  • Make sure your Coinbase mobile app is up-to-date.

  • Link a payment method to your account.

    • Reside in the UK? Learn more about payment methods here.

  • If you have issues adding your payment method, contact your provider first. If you need further assistance, please contact us.

To add cash:

  1. Select My assets and choose  Add Cash.

  2. Select the correct balance.

  3. Enter the amount.

  4. Select a payment method.

  5. Select Preview.

  6. Review your deposit order and select Add cash now.

  • If necessary, tap the back arrow to make any adjustments

Unable to buy crypto or add cash?

Before you cash out

  • Make sure your Coinbase mobile app is up-to-date.

  • Link a valid payment method to your Coinbase account.

  • ACH bank transfers can take 3-5 business days.

  • Check your available balance (total balance minus portion on temporary hold).

To cash out:

  1. Select My assets then choose cash out Cash out.

  2. Enter the amount.

  3. Select a payment method.

  4. Select Preview cash out.

  5. Select Cash out now.

  • If necessary, tap the back arrow to make any adjustments
