How do I change my email address?

If you’re a customer across multiple Coinbase products—Coinbase.com, Prime, Pro, Custody, and Commerce—you can change your primary email address from a single profile by signing into: https://accounts.coinbase.com/profile

Updating your Coinbase email address

Web

  1. Sign in to your Coinbase account via desktop

  2. Select your user icon in the top right and select Manage Profile

  3. A new window will open, and under Contact info select Email address

  4. You will see two text boxes, one with your current email address, and the other for you to input your desired email address

  5. Enter your updated email address and select Save

    1. From here you may be prompted to complete 2-step verification

A verification email will be sent to the new email address to be confirmed, with a prompt to "Click this button to confirm device". Once you select this, your email will be updated.

Mobile

  1. Sign into your Coinbase account via your mobile web browser

  2. Select Migrated from https://help.coinbase.com/content/dam/help/articles/consumer/icons/hamburger.png, updated at Mon Apr 11 2022 12:52:36 GMT-0700 (Pacific Daylight Time) then select Manage your profile

  3. Select Email address

  4. There will be an expanded section with text two boxes, one with your current email address, and the other for you to input your desired email address

  5. Enter your updated email address and select Save

    1. From here you may be prompted to complete 2-step verification

A verification email will be sent to the new email address to be confirmed, with a prompt to "Click this button to confirm device". Once you select this, your email will be updated.

Important

When confirming your updated email address, you must use the same device for your email, as you are for updating your Coinbase email address. If you use different devices, the update will not work.

You will need to re-send the verification email and access it from the same device.
