With Coinbase Wallet, you can convert crypto that’s available on a decentralized exchange (DEX). A DEX is a third-party service like 1inch or Uniswap where you can convert your crypto without using a centralized exchange like Coinbase. When you use these services, you’re sending your crypto directly from your self-custodied Coinbase Wallet to a DEX service to execute a trade.

You will be prompted to download Coinbase Wallet when you select “Open Coinbase Wallet.” Download the app from the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android to get started. If you already have the Coinbase Wallet app installed on your device, you will be taken to that asset page in the Wallet app to execute your trade.

Important: Assets in Coinbase Wallet are not held by Coinbase. When you use Coinbase Wallet, your crypto is sent to a decentralized exchange that is not controlled by Coinbase.
