If you are concerned that a crypto transfer to a wallet outside of Coinbase might be missing, you can verify this on the block explorer, which shows you a record of all crypto transactions.
Enter the transaction hash/hash ID into the block explorer to locate your transaction. To find out how to do this, visit our help article: What is a transaction hash/hash ID?
If you’re having trouble locating your funds, here are some details to check using your hash ID:
Ensure you sent funds to the correct address
Ensure you sent funds on the correct network
Ensure you, or the person you sent to, are able to access the wallet where the funds were sent If you sent funds to the wrong address, you will need to contact the receiving party and ask for their cooperation in returning the funds.
If you do not know the owner of the address, then there are no other available actions that can be taken to retrieve those funds due to the irreversible nature of cryptocurrency transactions.
If you are having trouble locating funds sent to a site outside of Coinbase, I recommend reaching out to the support team of that site so they can help you to gain access to the account and locate the funds.
