Where can I find the API documentation for Coinbase Custody?

Coinbase Custody currently offers a read-only API which is in beta. In order to enable API access for your account, please reach out to the Custody Client Services team at custody@coinbase.com. Our public API documents can be found here.

Our API Endpoints cover the following:

  • Addresses

  • Currencies

  • Transactions

  • Users

  • Wallets

How do I create an API key for Coinbase Custody?

Coinbase Custody currently offers a read-only API which is in beta. In order to enable API access for your account, please reach out to the Custody Client Services team at custody@coinbase.com. Once enabled, follow the steps below:

  1. To request an API Key, please navigate to Settings > API Tab > Add API Key

  2. To add an API Key, you will need to gather the appropriate approvals via consensus

  3. Please document your Secret Seed and Passphrase as these will not be recoverable by our team if forgotten
