EUR SEPA Deposits

Verifying a Bank account

To verify a bank account, you must initiate a deposit to Coinbase Exchange from your bank. You cannot verify a bank account within the Coinbase Exchange platform. Once the funds reach Coinbase, the banking information will appear in the banking tab confirming verification.

Depositing with SEPA

To initiate a SEPA deposit, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure you are signed out of all other Coinbase accounts

  2. On Coinbase Exchange, select Portfolio in the top right corner

  3. On the right-hand side, select Deposit > EUR > SEPA

  4. Follow Instructions

Important information for timely deposits

Failure to do the following may result in delays receiving your deposit to Coinbase Exchange

  • Ensure your Reference Number located within the instructions is provided when initiating the deposit from your bank. 

  • The name on your bank account must match the name on your Coinbase Exchange account.

Fees

There is no fee charged by Coinbase for SEPA deposits.

Timing

Funds will appear in your account 1-3 business days after the deposit is initiated from your bank. 

If funds are not received after 3 business days or you are having trouble verifying your account, please contact Coinbase Exchange support.

Please note that we are not able to accept SWIFT EUR international wires at this time. If you send a SWIFT EUR payment to your Coinbase account it will be automatically returned.
