To close your Coinbase Pro account:
Click the Activity tab.
Click Close Account at the bottom of the page.
Enter your password > Close Account.
Coinbase will retain some of your personal information for a minimum of five years or as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, prevent fraud, or resolve disputes, as outlined in the Coinbase Privacy Policy.
Your account must have a zero balance before it can be closed. If your balance is too small to cover any fees associated with selling the crypto (dust balance), you can:
Send the balance to a different Coinbase user's email.
Donate the balance to GiveCrypto.org, a nonprofit that distributes cryptocurrency to people living in poverty by connecting them to an open financial system. To do this, select Donate Balance after you've selected Close account.
Forfeit the funds and allow Coinbase to zero out any remaining balances. To do this, submit an email request from our Contact us page:
Select Coinbase Pro from the product menu.
Under Let's get started, select Managing my account.
Under What is your issue about?, select Closing my account.
Under What seems to be the problem?, select I would like to close my account.
Complete the remaining fields and explicitly request to forfeit the funds in the message field, then submit your request.
