Using 2-Step Verification is a great line of defense for protecting your account from unauthorized access. You may even be prompted to enable this feature if you begin to actively use your account. If you don't currently have 2-step verification set up for your account, you can find more information about setting it up in this support article.
If you have 2-step verification enabled, you'll be prompted for an extra code when signing in from a new location or device. It's possible to manage your 2-step verification settings on the following page: https://www.coinbase.com/settings/security_settings
As long as you're using the same device, it's possible to check an option that says "Don't ask me for the code again for 30 days when I use this computer". This feature will not work if you change your network settings your clear your browser cache often.
Any attempt to access your account using a different computer, or network will still require the 2-step verification code.
If you set this option and later decide that you'd like your logins to require a 2-factor code every time, you can clear your browser cookies and cache to re-enable the 2-factor code prompt.
