W8 information

We require a W8 form from all businesses incorporated outside of the US.

Below is a guide on how to identify the proper form for your business. You can find the latest links to the W8 forms hosted on the IRS website. You are responsible for ensuring completion of the proper form.

You are NOT an individual
W-8BEN-E (see W-8BEN-E instructions)

You are a beneficial owner claiming that income is effectively connected with the conduct of trade or business within the U.S. (other than personal services)
W-8ECI (see W-8ECI instructions

A foreign individual or entity claiming that income is effectively connected with the conduct of trade or business within the U.S. (unless claiming treaty benefits)
W-8ECI (see W-8ECI instructions

You are a beneficial owner who is receiving compensation for personal services performed in the United States
Form 8233 (see Form 8233 instructions) or W-4

You are a person acting as an intermediary
W-8IMY (see W-8IMY instructions)

Any person acting as an intermediary (including a qualified intermediary acting as a qualified derivatives dealer)
W-8IMY (see W-8IMY instructions)

A foreign partnership, a foreign simple trust, or a foreign grantor trust (unless claiming treaty benefits) (see instructions for exceptions)

You are a U.S. citizen or other U.S. person, including a resident alien individual
W-9

A foreign individual
