Overview
You can log in to Coinbase Token Manager using any WalletConnect‑compatible wallet. This is useful if you use a wallet that is not a browser extension like MetaMask, or if you prefer a mobile or desktop wallet that supports WalletConnect.
If your wallet is not WalletConnect‑compatible, you have two options:
Log in via email (if your admin configured your grant with an email), or
Create a new WalletConnect‑compatible wallet and ask your token grant administrator to update your grant to use the new address
Note that you must log in with a wallet to claim tokens. Email login alone does not allow you to claim and withdraw tokens.
If you see errors during login, you can use the Reset your wallet connection link on the login page and try again.
Step 1 – Confirm your wallet is WalletConnect‑compatible
Check that your wallet appears in the WalletConnect wallet directory (for example, on the WalletConnect explorer website).
If your wallet is listed there, it should be able to connect to Coinbase Token Manager using WalletConnect.
If your current wallet is not WalletConnect‑compatible:
Option 1:
Use email login if your token grant administrator has associated your email with your grant.
Remember: with email‑only login, you can view grants but cannot claim tokens. Claims require a wallet login.
Option 2:
Create a new wallet with a WalletConnect‑compatible provider.
Share the new wallet address with your token grant administrator and ask them to update your grant’s wallet address in Coinbase Token Manager.
Step 2 – Open the Coinbase Token Manager login page
In a desktop browser, open your organization’s Coinbase Token Manager login page.
If prompted to select a network, choose the network your token grant uses.
If you are unsure which network to select, contact your token grant administrator.
If you experience issues when logging in:
Use the Reset your wallet connection link at the bottom of the login prompt.
Then try connecting again.
Step 3 – Start login and choose your WalletConnect wallet
On the login screen, click Log in.
When presented with wallet options:
Either select your wallet provider directly if it appears, or
Click View all wallets (or similar) to see the full list of WalletConnect‑compatible wallets.
Search for and select your wallet provider by name.
Step 4 – Approve the connection in your wallet
After selecting your wallet provider, Coinbase Token Manager will initiate a WalletConnect session.
Depending on your wallet type:
If it is a mobile wallet, you may be prompted to:
Scan a QR code with your wallet app, or
Open the wallet app directly from a link
If it is a desktop wallet, you may see a popup or a new window requesting approval.
Follow your wallet provider’s prompts to:
Approve the connection to Coinbase Token Manager
Sign the login message (a non‑transaction message)
Notes:
Sign‑in transactions or message signatures do not transfer tokens and do not cost gas fees.
They are typically required only once per session.
Step 5 – Complete login and view your portfolio
After you approve and sign in your wallet app, return to the Coinbase Token Manager browser tab.
The login button will show a brief loading state while the connection is completed.
Once the login is successful:
You will see your Portfolio or Grants view.
Any active token grants associated with your connected wallet address will be displayed.
If you do not see expected grants:
Confirm you connected the correct wallet address.
Contact your token grant administrator to verify that your grant is associated with the wallet you used.
Next step: Claiming your tokens
If you have tokens that are vested and unlocked:
Use your organization’s “Claim your tokens” instructions in the stakeholder help center to learn how to claim and withdraw tokens to your wallet.
Make sure:
You are connected with the same WalletConnect wallet used for login
You are on the correct network
If your tokens are not yet vested or unlocked, review your vesting schedule to see when they will become claimable.
