Coinbase will honor its commitment to support the Flare (FLR) (formerly Spark) token airdrop for its customers who held a Ripple (XRP) balance as of December 12, 2020.
Review the FLR token airdrop details below carefully.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the FLR token airdrop, you must have held a XRP balance on Coinbase.com, Coinbase Exchange, or Coinbase Pro as of December 12, 2020 at 00:00:00 UTC.
Airdrop dates
FLR tokens will airdrop to your Coinbase.com balance. This also applies to customers who held an XRP balance on Coinbase Exchange or Coinbase Pro.
The FLR balance will be reflected in your My assets dashboard.
Amount
The FLR token airdrop is based on the XRP balance that was in your Coinbase.com, Coinbase Exchange, or Coinbase Pro account on December 12, 2020 at 00:00:00 UTC.
The distribution ratio is 1.0073 FLR per 1 XRP x 0.15 (15% of the total supply released to the community).
Some customers may receive less than .1 FLR in the airdrop which is below the minimum withdrawal limit. If you receive less than the minimum withdrawal limit and would like to withdraw your funds, you'll be required to make a purchase of FLR that will put you over the minimum withdrawal limit
Fees
There are no fees for the airdrop.
Trading
You’ll be able to trade FLR once the airdrop distribution to all eligible customers is complete.
FlareDrop (FIP.01)
This FLR token airdrop doesn’t include additional tokens from the recent FlareDrop (FIP.01). Coinbase doesn’t support wrapping FLR tokens.
To participate in FlareDrop monthly, you need to move your tokens from your Coinbase.com account.
Troubleshooting
If you experience any issues with the FLR airdrop, please confirm:
You had (owned) an XRP balance (not pending) in your Coinbase.com, Coinbase Exchange, or Coinbase Pro account on December 12, 2020
You’re checking the same Coinbase.com account where you held your XRP balance
Coinbase Exchange customers should check the equivalent Coinbase.com account
If you’re still experiencing issues after confirming all of the above, please contact us.
Deactivated Coinbase account
If you’re eligible for the FLR token airdrop and you’re account is currently deactivated, here’s what you can do:
