Base

Profiles on Base

Showcase your personality and interests on your profile. The Base app is built on the decentralized Farcaster protocol, so anyone with a Farcaster identity will appear on the Base app as well.

Basename

Basenames are onchain identities that map wallet addresses to human-readable names, enabling seamless use across apps, wallets, and EVM chains for sending, receiving, and connecting.

• Basenames are unique and saved on the Farcaster graph.

• Create a Basename in the Base app.

• If you have an existing Basename in another wallet, transfer it to your current wallet at base.org/names, then go to Edit profile in the app to update your username.

• Basenames are permanent. To change yours, you can buy a new basename at base.org/names and edit your profile.

• See base.org/names for more information.
