Coinbase customers are eligible to stake supported assets if they:
Have an active account in good standing (e.g. no holds or outstanding balances)
Are located in a staking eligible jurisdiction
Have provided required tax identification information (where applicable)
Coinbase reserves the right to update eligibility requirements at any time, even after assets are staked.
Eligibility status and verification
Eligibility is verified daily. Customers may become ineligible if there are changes to the criteria listed above. Coinbase will notify customers whose status becomes ineligible to alert them that any remaining assets will become unstaked after a 14-day grace period.
Accounts will continue to earn rewards on staked balances regardless of changes to eligibility status. However, rewards will not be restaked.
If your status has changed, Coinbase may be unable to pay out staking rewards until outstanding eligibility issues are resolved. If you believe your account was incorrectly marked as ineligible, contact our support team.
Eligible assets
Any assets that are eligible to earn staking rewards will earn in your staking balance.
Reward values differ according to the assets you have staked. To view the individual values associated with each asset, navigate to the My Assets tab or Asset Details page within the Coinbase web or mobile app.
