The instructions below cover perpetual & dated futures orders and crypto options. Before placing an order, review the contract specifications and available order settings. Order types and settings may differ for dated futures and options.
Order component | Details | Note |
|---|---|---|
Supported order types | Available order types depend on the contract and whether you use Simple or Advanced trading. Check the order form for supported choices. | See Take profit/stop loss orders |
Supported leverage amount | Available leverage depends on the contract, margin requirements, and account eligibility. Check the order form for the available settings. | |
Cross margin | Shares collateral across cross-margin positions. Losses on one position can put other cross-margin positions at risk. | |
Segregated margin | Allocates collateral to an individual position separately from your cross-margin account and other segregated positions. | |
Funds on hold | Funds reserved for open orders are encumbered; not available to trade or withdraw | Canceling unfilled orders or reducing positions may release reserved margin. Settlement restrictions and other holds may still apply. |
