Requested documents
Death certificate: The official death certificate.
Probate documents for the deceased’s estate: Probate, Letters Testamentary, Letters of Administration, Affidavit for Collection, or Small Estate Affidavit.
Photo identification (ID): A current, valid government-issued photo ID of the person(s) named in the probate documents.
Instructions: A letter signed by the person(s) named in the probate documents directing Coinbase to transfer the assets to the specified account, including its associated email address.
To claim the account:

If you don’t currently have a Coinbase.com account or can’t sign in to your account:
Access our contact form (the necessary options are auto-selected).
Upload the requested documents.
Enter all required information.
List any missing documents, if applicable.
Generate a verification code to safely submit your form and documents.
