Verifying a Bank Account
To verify your bank account, you must initiate a deposit from your bank account into your Coinbase Exchange GBP wallet. Once the funds reach your account, then your bank account will automatically be verified. All previously verified accounts will appear in your banking tab. To verify a new account, please see the deposit instructions below.
Depositing with Faster Payments
To initiate a deposit:
Ensure you are signed out of all other Coinbase accounts
On Coinbase Exchange, select Portfolio
On the right-hand side, select Deposit > GBP > UK Bank Transfer
Follow the instructions
Important information for timely deposits
Ensure your Reference Number located within the instructions is provided when initiating the deposit from your bank. Failure to provide a Reference Number may result in delays receiving your deposit to Coinbase Exchange
Fees
There is no fee charged by Coinbase for Faster Payments.
Timing
Funds will appear in your account 1-3 business days after the deposit is initiated from your bank.
If funds are not received after 3 business days or you are having trouble verifying your account, please contact Coinbase support.
