Can I use USD as collateral?
No. Convert to USDC in Prime (or enable USDC auto-conversion). USD is only accepted for U.S. Derivatives on Coinbase Derivatives Exchange.
Can I cross-margin Global Derivatives with my spot or CDE positions?
Not today. Each Global Derivatives portfolio is margined on its own, per settlement currency.
Can BTC collateral cover a USDC-settled loss?
Not at launch. Fund the settlement currency of the products you trade. Cross-collateral modes are planned.
Why was my order rejected?
Common reasons: insufficient margin, portfolio in Restricted status (risk-reducing only), exceeds a trading or position limit, price outside the venue's band, or the product is not whitelisted. The rejection reason is shown in the order status.
Why can't I withdraw my full equity?
Session profits become withdrawable after the 08:00 UTC settlement, and the collateral reconciliation that follows must complete. See Understanding your balances: equity, margin balance, available and withdrawable and Daily settlement and why it matters.
Do options get assigned early?
Options are European-style and settle only at 08:00 UTC on expiry.
How are fees shown?
Each fill shows exchange fee, FCM broker fee and NFA fee separately. Trading desk fees and settlement fees appear as their own line items.
Do I earn rewards on BTC or ETH collateral?
No, only on USDC.
How do I add another trading portfolio?
Create a new portfolio in Prime, select Global Derivatives and provide a unique login email. Each portfolio is funded separately.
How do I give my EMS access?
Create an API key in the white-label interface with the vendor's IP allowlisted (see How to trade: access channels). Prime API keys are used for the Prime REST/WebSocket API.
Who do I contact?
