SOL on Base

Coinbase Exchange now supports Base as a network option for SOL withdrawals and deposits, powered by the Base <> Solana bridge. This enables seamless cross-chain transfers between Base and Solana networks and enables users to utilize their SOL on the Base network as an ERC20 token.

How it Works

  • Withdrawals: Send SOL from your Coinbase Exchange account directly to any wallet address on the Base network.

  • Deposits: Deposit SOL on the Base network to your Coinbase Exchange account, where it will be automatically credited to your Coinbase Exchange SOL balance.

Withdrawing SOL on Base

You can withdraw SOL on the Base network.

  1. Click ‘Withdraw’ to enter the withdrawal flow.

  2. Select SOL as the asset you wish to withdraw.

  3. Select 'Crypto Address' to withdraw to an external wallet address.

  4. Select Base as the network.

  5. Input the destination wallet address.

  6. Check the displayed box to confirm that you are withdrawing SOL over the Base network.

  7. Input the amount you want to transfer.

  8. Click ‘Withdrawal’ to initiate the withdrawal.

Depositing SOL on Base

You can deposit SOL on the Base network.

  1. Click ‘Deposit’ to enter the deposit flow.

  2. Select SOL as the asset you wish to deposit.

  3. Select 'Crypto Address' to deposit SOL from an external wallet address.

  4. Click 'I understand' to move forward with your deposit.

  5. Select Base as the network.

  6. Copy the deposit address for your Coinbase Exchange account.

  7. Send SOL to this address from your external wallet.

  8. The SOL will be deposited into your account.

SOL on Base Restrictions

SOL on Base deposits and withdrawals are currently not available to customers in New York, Japan, Germany, Canada, United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Taiwan, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Faroe Islands.
