Moving unsupported assets

Some networks will no longer be supported in the Base App after August 15, 2026

If you hold Dogecoin, Litecoin, zkSync Era, or other unsupported networks, your assets remain safe and accessible. To continue accessing them after August 15, 2026, import your recovery phrase into another wallet. Use this article to learn how to move unsupported assets.

When moving your assets to a different wallet, research and take the proper precautions to to avoid crypto scams. This process only affects the Base app. Assets on coinbase.com and the Coinbase app are unaffected.

Unsupported networks

Some networks, listed below, aren't available in the Base app. If you hold assets on one of them, your assets are safe — you just need another wallet to access them.

  • Dogecoin (DOGE) and Litecoin (LTC)

  • Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Stellar (XLM), XRP

  • Blast, Celo, Core DAO, Flare, Fantom Opera, Gnosis, NEAR, Plasma, Ronin, Sei, Sonic, Story, Unichain, VeChain, zkSync Era

  • Any custom network you added yourself

Note: If you held assets on one of these networks in the classic wallet, your balance hasn't changed. The Base app simply doesn't display that network. Your recovery phrase controls your assets on every network, even ones the Base app doesn't show, and these assets keep the same addresses and balances.

What does the Base app support?

The Base app supports Ethereum and EVM networks, Solana, and Bitcoin. See Supported assets and networks in Base app for the full list.

What you can do

  1. Import your recovery phase into another wallet. Pick a self-custody wallet that supports the network you need, then import your phrase. Your assets appear at the same addresses. Your recovery phrase works indefinitely, so you can do this whenever you're ready; there's no deadline tied to when the classic version closes.

  2. Alternatively, do nothing. Your assets stay at the same addresses and you still own them. Coinbase never holds or moves assets in a self-custody wallet, so no action is required to keep them secure. You'll just need another wallet to access them later.
