Get up to $250K in Account Protection
As a Coinbase One member in a supported region, you may be eligible for reimbursement of losses due to an unauthorized account takeover.
Account protection overview
In supported regions, account protection is a flagship benefit of Coinbase One membership. If your account is accessed by an unauthorized third party and you suffer an unauthorized crypto withdrawal, you may be eligible for reimbursement up to your coverage limit.
This protection is available exclusively to Coinbase One subscribers in supported regions who meet eligibility requirements. Eligible members can submit a reimbursement claim directly through our secure claims process. File a claim.
Eligibility requirements
The program is currently available to eligible members of Coinbase One who have set up a passkey or security key.
If you disable your passkey or security key while you're a member, or enable weaker 2-step verification such as SMS, your coverage will be reduced and your account protection will be deactivated after 14 days.
Note that you may enable the push notification method of 2-step verification alongside your passkey or security key, but other methods of 2-step verification (also known as 2-factor authentication or 2FA) aren’t accepted because they’re less secure.
