When you stake your assets , you earn crypto rewards while adding to blockchain security. You retain full ownership of your crypto and can request to unstake it at any time.
After you verify your identity and meet eligibility requirements, you can stake your asset from your Coinbase account.
Assets must be unstaked before they can be traded or transferred.
Stake
Sign in to your Coinbase account or open the mobile app.
Select Crypto under Home page.
Scroll down and select Stake more or Buy and stake as available to you.
Select Stake all to stake all available assets, or select the Edit icon to enter a different amount.
Review the details and confirm.
Unstake
Sign in to your Coinbase account or open the mobile app.
Select Crypto in your Home page.
Select an asset to unstake.
Scroll down and select Unstake and choose Continue to unstake.
Enter the amount you want to unstake.
Select Preview unstake.
Select how you want to unstake:
Standard: No fee, subject to wait times
Instant: Fee applies. Instant unstaking may not always be available and may be subject to limitations.
Select Unstake.
Convert a pending unstake
Instant unstaking may not always be available and may be subject to limitations.
Sign in to your Coinbase account or open the mobile app.
From your Staking Home, Asset Details Page, or Transaction Details, select the asset you are unstaking.
Select Skip Wait.
Review the transaction details including the fee, then select Confirm Instant Unstake.
If you have multiple pending requests, you will be prompted to select which specific transactions you’d like to convert.
Select Done.
Your funds will be credited to your primary balance immediately minus the 1% fee of the total transaction amount.
Set up a stakeable asset to stake automatically upon purchase:
Go to My Assets and select one of your staked assets.
Under Staking, select the three vertical dots to enter Staking details.
Toggle Automatic earning on to auto stake future purchases of this asset.
