Perpetual futures listed on Coinbase Derivatives, LLC (“CDE”) are no-expiry futures contracts that incorporate hourly-calculated funding rates and payments to keep futures prices closely aligned with spot prices.
How do they differ from traditional monthly/quarterly futures?
Perpetual futures differ from traditional monthly or quarterly futures in that they have no expiration and incorporate an hourly funding rate to align the futures price with the spot price.
