View and repay open overdrafts (International Derivatives)

View your open overdrafts on the portfolio page under Overdraft Protection in the sidebar. Select the Overdraft Protection section for an expanded view and to manually repay. You can also view your open overdrafts on the perpetual market details page in the Overdraft tab.

Unless you manually repay, the exchange will automatically repay any open overdraft positions with excess USDC in your perpetuals portfolio every day at midnight UTC. If you lack sufficient USDC, the overdraft position will roll over to the next day adding any daily accrued costs.

Manual repayment

Traders can repay open overdrafts with excess USDC in their perpetuals portfolio at any time.

  1. Navigate to your open overdraft position.

  2. Select Repay.

  3. Enter the amount you would like to pay back.

  4. Confirm the payment, and your overdraft will automatically be reduced or closed.

Note: With manual payment, you can only repay your overdraft amount and not accrued interest. Once repaid, interest will stop accruing and will automatically be paid back at midnight UTC with excess USDC in your perpetuals portfolio. If you do not have sufficient USDC to repay interest at midnight UTC, your daily accrued interest will roll over into a new overdraft position.

Collateral holds

When you have an open overdraft loan, a hold will be placed on your non-USDC collateral (i.e. BTC) as it is serving as collateral for the overdraft loan. This hold prevents you from withdrawing the non-USDC collateral until the loan is paid back.

To close the loan, you must transfer USDC as collateral to pay back the loan. Once paid back, you will be able to withdraw your non-USDC collateral.
