Effective July 12, 2023, we're updating our user agreement for customers who reside in the UK and certain countries outside the EEA. If you continue to use your Coinbase account after that date, the new terms will automatically apply to you. However, they will not apply retroactively.

We created a standalone policy to make it easy for you to find and understand the limits as to how our services can be used.
We updated our tax language and some of our definitions to reflect current crypto terms and laws.

Which countries are impacted by the updated user agreement?
Our updated user agreement will apply to all Coinbase.com customers in the UK and select countries outside the European Economic Area including: Switzerland, Andorra, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey, Monaco, San Marino, and New Zealand.
How do I accept the new user agreement?
No action is required by you to accept the updated user agreement. By continuing to use your Coinbase account after the new terms take effect you are agreeing to the new terms.
Do I need to upgrade my Coinbase account?
No, you do not need to upgrade your Coinbase account in order to agree to the new terms.
Remove funds
If you don't want to accept the updated user agreement, you will need to remove funds from Coinbase and close your account before July 11, 2023. You can close your account by going to your Activity page and following these steps.
