You can access advanced features when swapping on the Coinbase Wallet app and browser extension. These features are Slippage and Gasless Mode.
Slippage
To adjust slippage tolerance:
From the confirmation page, select icon on the Slippage tolerance row.
Enter any value between 0.5% and 99%.
By setting lower slippage, you have more control over the price at which your swap executes.
Gasless Mode
On Ethereum and Polygon networks, we support gasless mode for swaps. This means you can pay the network fee with the token you’re swapping.
Pros
Easier to complete swaps: You can still complete your swap even if you run out of ETH or MATIC.
Flexibility: You want to save your network tokens for another transaction.
Never pay for failed swaps: If your swap fails in gasless mode, you won’t pay anything.
Limitations
You must swap the selected token once to enable gasless mode for future swaps.
Gasless mode is’t available for native tokens as a source token (ETH or MATIC assets).
Example: The first time you swap USDT for USDC, you’ll have to pay for the gas fees in Ethereum. Moving forward, gasless mode will be enabled on the USDT token, and you’ll be able to pay gas fees with USDT.
