Coinbase Wrapped Assets

Coinbase Wrapped Assets are wrapped versions of cryptocurrencies, backed 1:1 by the underlying assets held in custody by Coinbase. Coinbase Wrapped Assets are treated as fungible with the corresponding native asset on the Coinbase platform, so Coinbase Exchange users will see a single balance for each relevant native asset. In order to mint a Coinbase Wrapped Asset, users  can simply withdraw the corresponding native asset from their Coinbase Exchange account and send it to a wallet address on a supported network. Similarly, when a Coinbase Wrapped Asset is deposited to a user's Coinbase Exchange account, it is automatically unwrapped and credited to the user’s native asset balance.
