Base App does not require a Coinbase account.
Getting started
Download and open the Base app.
Select your sign in method and follow the instructions. We support email, Google accounts, Apple accounts, and recovery phrase import
Switch between legacy and Base mode
Base mode is the new Base app experience powered by smart wallets that enables advanced features: trade with lower network fees, earn from your content, chat and trade with friends.
If you already have a wallet on the legacy Base app (formerly Coinbase Wallet), you can return to the legacy experience by switching off Base mode.
To switch between legacy experience and Base mode:
Select your profile photo to open the wallet switcher.
Toggle the Base mode switcher on for Base mode and off for the legacy mode.
