For your security, the name on your payment method must match the name on your Coinbase account. Mismatched names will be reviewed manually in one to three business days.
Verify your Coinbase account before adding a payment method.
Add a new payment method
Sign in to Coinbase and select your profile icon (Coinbase.com) or the menu (Coinbase mobile app).
Choose Settings (desktop) or Profile & Settings (mobile), then go to Payment methods.
Select Add a payment method.
Choose your preferred payment method.
Complete the prompts to verify your payment method.

Guidelines for each payment method’s requirements and verification are outlined below.

FAST deposit instructions, including bank account number, are unique to your Coinbase account. There is no need for a transaction reference. PayNow deposits require a transaction reference. This should be auto-filled for you when you scan/load the QR code with a compatible banking app. |
SWIFT | A successful deposit will verify your bank account. For transfer details, complete the steps in the section Add and verify your payment method. Instructions, including bank account number, are unique to your Coinbase account. There is no need for a transaction reference. |
