It’s important to update your account if your address, state, or country changes.
If you’re changing your country, you don’t need to sell your crypto, but if you have a cash balance, you must cash out your funds before following the instructions in this article.
Change your residential address
Sign in to your Coinbase account using a browser (this feature isn’t available in the Coinbase mobile app).
Select the profile icon, then your name.
Under General, select Edit next to Residential address and update your details.
If you change your state, you may need to complete identity verification. The changes will appear once verified.
Changing your state or country may impact available services due to regulatory requirements.
If you’re changing your country, continue to the next step. Otherwise, select Save.
In the country field, select Change to open a new tab to choose your country.
Choose your new country from the drop-down list, then select Continue.
Prepare the accepted identity documents for your new country and follow the instructions to complete identity verification.
The changes will reflect once verified.
If the system did not process your country change, prepare your accepted identity documents and contact us. A Coinbase support agent will send you a secure link to upload your documents. Please do not send them via any other method.
If your account is restricted after making changes, please contact us.
