If you recently changed your place of residence or your account is set to an incorrect country or state, you can update this information from your Settings page. Please note, changing your country setting may affect the payment methods that are available to your account.
Update your residential address
Get started by signing in to your Coinbase account. You will need to navigate to your Account Settings page.
From the Profile tab, you will be able to edit your address and/or state information. You can also go to your Settings page.
Update your country of residence
You can proceed to update your country information from within your account. You will need to upload a valid ID from the country you are currently residing in here: https://www.coinbase.com/verifications/documents/change_country.
From there, the following steps will help you change your country:
1. You will be prompted to allow or deny access to your camera. Please select Allow.
2. Place your document in view and click 'Take snapshot'. You will need to do this for the front and back of your document.
3. Click Finish & Start Verification. After a few minutes you should see your country reflect the change.
Please note that changing your country setting may affect the payment methods that are available to your account.
While Coinbase is working hard to expand to additional countries, buy and sell functionality is not yet available everywhere. You can find a list of supported countries here.
Please note that if you're attempting to change your country for a Coinbase Pro account, please contact Coinbase Support by scrolling to the bottom of the page and selecting Contact us.
