Coinbase One Card

Connect your Coinbase One Card (credit) to a personal finance app

You can connect your Coinbase One Card to many personal finance app through Plaid. This lets you view your card transactions, balances, and account information alongside your other financial accounts.

Important

This connection is read-only — no funds can be moved, and your crypto account information is never shared.

To connect your Coinbase One credit card:

  1. Open your personal finance app and look for the option to add a new account.

  2. Search for Coinbase One Card in the institution search.

    • Note: You may also see Coinbase as a connection option. This connects to your primary Coinbase balance.

  3. You'll be redirected to Coinbase to sign in and verify your identity.

  4. Review the data-sharing consent screen and approve the connection.

  5. Your Coinbase One Card transactions and balance will begin syncing to your finance app.

Privacy

When you connect your Coinbase One Card, only the following card-related data is shared with the finance app through Plaid:

  • Card account name and masked card number

  • Current balance and available credit

  • Posted and pending transactions (merchant name, amount, date, status)

Your crypto holdings, trading history, and wallet addresses are never shared through this connection. The integration uses dedicated authorization scopes that are limited to credit card data only.

How to disconnect

You can stop sharing your card data at any time.

From your Coinbase account:

  1. Sign in to your Coinbase account.

  2. Open Settings.

  3. Select Connected Applications.

  4. Choose Plaid and select Revoke access.

Troubleshooting

Connection errors

Where the error occurred determines who can help:

  • If the error happened during the search, login, or consent screens within your finance app (on a Plaid-branded screen): Contact your finance app's support team. They work directly with Plaid to manage the connection process. Coinbase does not have visibility into errors that occur within Plaid Link.

  • If the error happened after you successfully signed in to Coinbase and approved the connection (you see a Coinbase-specific error message): Contact Coinbase Support. This is a Coinbase-side issue and our team can investigate.

Transactions not synced

Transaction syncs are initiated by your finance app through Plaid and happen periodically, not in real time.

  • Refresh or re-sync the connection in the finance app settings.

  • If transactions still aren't appearing after 24-48 hours, contact the finance app support team.

Transaction data is incorrect

  • If the transaction details in your finance app don't match what you see in the Coinbase app, contact the finance app support team first.

  • If the transaction details also look incorrect in your Coinbase app, contact Coinbase Support.
