Coinbase and Coinbase Advanced customers residing in the US can trade stocks after creating a Coinbase Capital Markets (CCM) brokerage account and completing onboarding.
To create a CCM brokerage account and complete onboarding:
Sign in to your Coinbase.com account or access the Coinbase mobile app.
In the Introducing Stocks popup window, select Let’s go.
Alternatively, activate the market selector, select the Stocks tab, then choose an asset.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete onboarding.
After all steps are completed, select Start trading in the approval window.
If additional review is required, a notification is sent in-app.
Note: This feature is gradually rolling on mobile and may not be available at this time.
