Coinbase NFT

Other troubleshooting and tips

Buying and bidding

When making a transaction with Coinbase NFT, you’ll need to go through a few different steps to complete your purchase. This includes ensuring you have enough funds to cover your purchase and gas fees as well as confirming your wallet is connected.

If you’re still having trouble, we recommend reviewing the following:

  • Is the NFT you attempted to buy or bid on still available for purchase? Sometimes a transaction failure occurs because someone else may have already purchased the NFT.

  • If you're making an offer or bid, do you have enough ETH and wETH to complete the purchase? It may be helpful to review your wallet balances before placing your offer.

  • Are you attempting to purchase the NFT while your wallet is set to the wrong blockchain? Currently, our marketplace only supports transactions on Ethereum with NFTs built using Ethereum's ERC 721 and 1155 standards. Check with your wallet provider for more information on switching chains, if needed.

  • Is the wallet signature being rejected? If you’re using Coinbase Wallet, you can review this help article for additional troubleshooting tips

  • Are you using a supported wallet? If you’re attempting to use a wallet that is not compatible with one of our providers, it’s possible your transaction will be unsuccessful.

Listing

When creating your listing on Coinbase NFT, you’ll need to go through a few different steps to complete your transaction. This includes ensuring you have enough funds to cover your gas fees as well as confirming your wallet is connected. If you’re still having trouble, we recommend reviewing the following:

  • Is the NFT you attempted to list in your connected default wallet? You may need to reconnect to your preferred wallet to list this NFT.

  • Are you attempting to list your NFT while your wallet is set to the wrong blockchain? Currently, our marketplace only supports transactions on Ethereum with NFTs built using Ethereum's ERC-721 and 1155 standards. Check with your wallet provider for more information on switching chains, if needed.

  • Is the wallet signature being rejected? If you’re using Coinbase Wallet, you can review this help article for additional troubleshooting tips

  • Is your NFT minted locally on another platform? Some marketplaces offer the ability to mint your NFT without using the blockchain. As a result, your NFT will not appear on Coinbase NFT. You can find this information by checking the details section on the marketplace you used to mint or by checking your wallet address on Etherscan to see if the NFT shows among your other NFTs and assets. Please note, if it does not show in your wallet address, this means it is not currently on-chain and will only show on marketplace where it was originally created.

Creating

Creating NFTs on Coinbase requires that they adhere to our Community Guidelines and they adopt an accepted file format. The file must be a JPG, PNG, MOV or another media format otherwise the file will not be accepted. Currently, our marketplace only supports minting on Ethereum with NFTs built using Ethereum's ERC-721 and ERC-1155 standard. If you’re still having trouble, we recommend reviewing the following:

  • Are some of your NFTs loading or displaying correctly? If so, this may indicate an issue with the files that you've uploaded.

  • Are you running into this issue on browser or mobile? It may be helpful to sign out or restart your app/browser before attempting again.

  • Are you running into an issue after uploading your content? It may be helpful to check your collection drafts to see what step is causing an error in collection creation.

  • Which standard did you select for your upload? This may affect your ability to upload NFTs in the collection creation set up.
