2-step verification for transaction history in the EU/EEA

If you live in the EU/EEA, you must complete 2-step verification to access transaction history older than 90 days. This is required under EU Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) regulations.

When 2-step verification is required

You must complete 2-step verification when:

  • Viewing transaction history older than 90 days.

  • Changing filters to include dates older than 90 days.

  • Exporting statements that include data older than 90 days.

  • Selecting View All in certain Advanced Trading transaction views.

You won’t be asked to verify when viewing transaction history within the last 90 days.

Where this applies

You may see a verification prompt in:

  • Transaction history

  • Account settings

  • Advanced Trading transaction history

How verification works

  • Complete 2-step verification when prompted.

  • After successful verification, you shouldn’t be prompted again for 5 minutes on that same page, although you may be prompted more often on mobile.

  • If you move to a different product surface, you may be asked to verify again.

If verification isn’t completed, older history and exports won’t load.
