You have options when cashing out your crypto. Based on the payment methods available to you, you can transfer, withdraw, or leave your cash balance for future crypto purchases. Coinbase does not limit selling crypto to your cash balance.
Before you sell or cash out, make sure you have the latest version of the Coinbase app. Check your available balance and confirm selling to a cash balance is available to you.
Browser
Select Sell.
Select the crypto you want to sell and the amount.
Update the To destination if needed.
This defaults to your local currency balance (USD) but you may have the option of adding to another balance (e.g., USDC).
Select Review order.
Select Sell now to complete the sale.
Once the transaction is complete, the funds will be available in your cash balance.
Mobile app
Select Buy & Sell.
Select Sell.
Select the crypto you want to sell and the amount.
Update the To destination if needed.
This defaults to your local currency balance (USD) but you may have the option of adding to another balance (e.g., USDC).
Select Review order.
Select Sell now to complete the sale.
Once the transaction is complete, the funds will be available in your cash balance.
Desktop browser
Select My assets.
Choose Cash.
Select Withdraw cash.
Enter the amount and choose the destination under Transfer to.
Select Preview.
Choose Withdraw cash now.
Mobile app
Select Transfer.
Choose Withdraw cash.
Enter the amount.
Select Withdraw maximum amount to withdraw your full available balance.
Confirm the selections for Withdraw and Transfer to.
Select Preview.
Choose Withdraw cash now.
