Troubleshoot Coinbase One Card payments

Payments can fail for a variety of reasons. If a payment from your Coinbase One Card fails for any reason, we'll send you a push notification.

Common reasons for payment failure:

  • Insufficient available credit

  • Prohibited merchant categories

  • Fraud protection

  • Card locked 

  • Account status 

See your transaction status:

  1. From the Coinbase mobile app, select Credit Card.

  2. In your transaction history, select the transaction you’d like to view.

  3. Check the Status and Reason fields to see the state of your transaction and the cause for a failed payment.

Past due Coinbase One payments

If you fall behind on your payments, you’ll be notified with a banner in the Coinbase app. Select Make a payment to resolve the balance.

Your account will be considered delinquent after 30 days and your card will be suspended. After 90 days, the balance will be referred to collections. After 180 days, your credit card will be closed.

To make a payment:

  1. From the Coinbase app, select the Credit card tab.

  2. On the Balance page, select Make payment.

  3. Choose how much you want to pay.

  4. To change your payment method, select Pay with and choose another method.

  5. Select Next, then confirm your payment.
